Igneous Rocks
Igneous rocks are formed either above the ground, or in the Earth. When igneous rocks form underground they are called intrusive rocks. Intrusive rocks form when hot magma cools and becomes solid. When igneous rocks form on the outside, they are called extrusive rocks. Extrusive rocks are formed when lavacools and becomes solid. This process is called crystallization.
Igneous rocks have different textures. Here are some of them:
