The Outer Core
The outer core is about 4828 km beneath the Earth's surface! The outer core is about 2270 km thick and is believed to be made up of liquid super-heated magma. The magma is said to be mostly iron, nickel and minor amounts of sulphur. Like the mantle, its scorching hot; about 5000 degrees Celsius! The churning currents of metal make the Earth's magnetic force.
